After the gap of a true central enemy in the world, we have been lead to believe that we live in a world of fear.<br />Fear of communism.<br />Fear of socialism.<br />Fear of Islamic terrorists, who use a bastardized version of Islam. <br />Fear of Islam in general, which shares no real connection with terrorism.<br />Fear of gays who want nothing more than to love their partners in peace.<br />Fear of illegal immigrants, who only wish to share in America's promise.<br />Fear of the left, who will bring this country to immorality and ruin.<br />Fear of the right, who will lead this nation into greed and chaos.<br />Fear of the government, that wishes to rule every aspect of your life.<br />And it is in this fear that we are manipulated. We are divided amongst ourselves, unable deal with the real monumental problems that face us. But as a great man once said, "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself". This is not a nation of fear. One gave it in hopes of victory. The other in hopes for a change. Both shared an abiding love for a son, and faith in their country.<br /><br />A life in this world is precious and irreplaceable. A soldier's life is the same. They serve brilliantly and do whatever they are asked. The real question in Iraq is in our troops. Are we serving them the same they serve us?<br /><br />War should be the last resort of any president. Never should a government be so reckless and uncaring about how it sends its soldiers as this administration has been. This mistake should be one we learn from.<br /><br />Make no mistake. Our soldiers will not die in vain. They never die in vain. Acting with honor, pride, and faith for their country, our leaders should do the same. They need to have the courage to act on reasonable intelligence and unwavering certainty. Lives are unreplaceable.
